NFDI-Konsortien äußern sich in gemeinsamer Stellungnahme zu Basisdiensten
In der Konsortialversammlung des NFDI-Vereins am 14. Januar 2022 haben die darin vertretenen Konsortien ohne Gegenstimme der Veröffentlichung einer gemeinsamen Stellungnahme zum Thema Basisdienste zugestimmt. Hintergrund ist, dass das DFG-Expertengremium für die dritte Ausschreibungsrunde auch die Beantragung von Basisdienst-Konsortien ermöglicht hat.  Mehr

NFDI consortia express their views on basic services in a statement
At the Consortia Assembly of the Association German National Research Data Infrastructure on 14 January 2022, the consortia represented in it approved the publication of a collective statement on the topic of basic services without any dissenting votes. The background to this is that the DFG expert panel for the third round of calls for proposals has also made it possible to apply for basic service consortia. More

RfII veröffentlicht Diskussionsimpuls zur wissenschaftlichen, wissenschaftsnahen und kulturellen Nutzbarkeit von Sammlungen 
Angesichts von anhaltenden Diskussionen über die Rolle von sammelnden Einrichtungen im digitalen Wandel der Wissenschaft hat sich der Rat für Informationsinfrastrukturen (RfII) mit Sammlungen und Archiven sowie deren Umgang mit analogen und digitalen Objekten und Datenbeständen befasst. Der RfII regt an, die einschlägig interessierten Akteure, unter anderem auch NFDI-Konsortien, als Knotenpunkte zu nutzen, die eine aktive Beteiligung an Projekten zur Öffnung und Neuordnung von Sammlungen ermöglichen. RfII publishes discussion impulse on the scientific, science-related and cultural usability of collections
Considering ongoing discussions about the role of collecting institutions in the digital transformation of science, the German Council for Scientific Information Infrastructures (RfII) has addressed collections and archives and their handling of analogue and digital objects and datasets. The RfII suggests that the relevant actors, including NFDI consortia, could be used as hubs that enable active participation in projects to open up and reorganise collections. More

NFDI4Chem startet Knowledge Base
Zum Thema Forschungsdatenmanagement in der Chemie hat NFDI4Chem eine Knowledge Base erarbeitet. Nutzer:innen können die Knowledge Base über verschiedene Einstiegspunkte betreten und ihre Rolle (z. B. Gruppenleitende, Studierende) wählen, um herauszufinden, welche Themen für sie besonders relevant sind. Der Einstieg über eine spezifische Teildisziplin der Chemie (z. B. synthetische organische oder anorganische Chemie) liefert wichtige Informationen über die in der Teildisziplin verwendeten Analysemethoden und über den Umgang mit erzeugten Daten entlang der FAIR-Prinzipien. NFDI4Chem launches Knowledge Base
NFDI4Chem has developed a knowledge base on the topic of research data management in chemistry. Users can enter the Knowledge Base via different entry points and select their role (e.g. group leader, student) to find out which topics are particularly relevant to them. The entry via a specific sub-discipline of chemistry (e.g. synthetic organic or inorganic chemistry) provides key information about the analytical methods used in the sub-discipline and how to deal with the produced data in a FAIR way. More
