Task forces
Task forces (TFs) are meetings of working groups in which people from interested consortia work out solutions for individual topics in a joint exchange. TFs can also prepare the creation of a section or serve the exchange between sections. In the TF Monitoring, qualitative and quantitative KPIs are defined to make the success of NFDI measurable. In the TF Tools, common standards for the productive use of software are developed. The TF Tools is divided into several subgroups, each dealing with specific aspects.
Task Evaluation and Reporting
- Goal: Our mission is to serve as an exchange forum for the development and discussion of presentations and documentation that will demonstrate the progress of the consortia and of the NFDI as a whole. We believe that the successes of the NFDI in promoting research data management and its required infrastructures can be presented transparently via reports that combine quantitative and qualitative elements in complementary ways. These reports are primarily aimed at specialised communities and the interested specialist public and are produced against the background of the evaluations of the consortia and the structural evaluation of the NFDI by the German Science and Humanities Council. We supplement the existing departments of the NFDI association, i.e. its sections and consortia, and develop concepts and methods that will allow presenting cross-consortial cooperation, standardising reporting and evaluation procedures, and the visualisation of such procedures. These concepts are created as co-authored papers that can be adopted by NFDI bodies.
- Target group: The TF Evaluation & Reporting brings together contributors from across NFDI consortia and the Directorate, who actively contribute the specialised experiences and perspectives of their respective communities on the topics of evaluation and reporting. Our way of working is collegial, interdisciplinary, cross-consortial and guided by our common interests. In this way, we contribute to the development of the “One-NFDI” ideal.
