(Published on 19.10.2022) Almost 200 people were virtually present at the General Assembly of the Association German National Research Data Infrastructure on 19 October.
The formal discharge of the two board members of the association, Eva Lübke (Administrative Director) and York Sure-Vetter (Director), was unanimously approved.
In his report, York Sure-Vetter addressed, amongst other things, processes in the association, association bodies, personnel, consortia and national and international networking. The director also presented current key numbers: There are now 216 member organisations, 19 consortia, 4 sections and thus more than 800 active participants.
The first four sections, Common Infrastructures (section-infra), Ethical, Legal and Social Aspects (section-ELSA), (Meta)daten, Terminologien, Provenienz (section-metadata) and Training & Education (section-edutrain), were established in the association in October 2021 and have since defined their fields of activity and started their work. Representatives from the sections gave insights into the various cross-cutting topics and presented their goals in compact form. Afterwards, the participants had the opportunity to ask questions.
Eva Lübke reported on the annual accounts for 2021 and discussed, for example, the growth in staff at the NFDI office in Karlsruhe. In the context of this, the auditor for the 2022 annual accounts was also unanimously elected.
The NFDI Directorate would like to thank all members for their commitment and looks forward to continuing to work together to shape the future of research data management.
